Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion journey
As a leading voice in the world of work, we drive change with our customers and their own DE&I targets and journeys every day. We know that this change starts with us and we are committed to ensuring that all opportunities are equal, no matter the gender, race or background of an individual. As part of this process, we have outlined Our Promise around our shared beliefs, commitments as a company to DE&I initiatives and the actions that we will take to ensure that everyone at Hays feels able to bring their whole selves to work and flourish with us.

We need a culture built on trust, respect, equality and inclusivity so that we can live our values, achieve our ambitions and deliver our purpose - and know that we must implement changes where appropriate, that make significant and lasting change so to deliver our promise.
Our Commitment
We will support diversity, equity and inclusion in all its forms, whether this is in attracting talent to join Hays or in realising potential and progression opportunities within the business. We will encourage people to speak up and speak out so that all voices are heard and be open to learning from these opinions. Finally, we will commit to influencing our customers, both in creating opportunities and improving lives in all that we do and in supporting our clients, suppliers and partners to deliver on their own Diversity, Equity and Inclusion ambitions.
Our Actions
In FY21 we will engage third-party experts to assess whether the routes to ‘getting in’ and ‘getting on’ in Hays are truly fair, balanced and inclusive, share these results with our staff, and commit to delivering the changes required to realise our promises in conjunction with our Global and regional DE&I councils. We will build upon the introduction of inclusive recruitment and unconscious bias training in our own recruitment practices and continue to improve lives in the charitable endeavours we undertake each year as Hays staff.
